NOVA’s 18th Medical Mission Team Oct. 2014

NOVA’s team has been working diligently over the past 2 weeks to prepare for our very first medical mission where the team will treat patients in the first floor of our clinic and live in the second floor residence. It has taken eight years of hard work, support of our friends and families (both financially and physically), and the dedication of our team to make our dream a reality.

A team of 22 missionaries from New York, New Jersey and Miami will travel to Cavaillon where they will treat close to 1,000 patients in a week. During that week, there will also be two mobile missions to the outlaying rural areas to bring medical treatment to people who can’t travel the distance to our clinic. Since we will be staying the in community, we will be able to host two movie nights with the children of Cavaillon. In addition, some of our more athletically gifted missionaries will test their soccer skills against the local boy in soccer and we’ll be teaching the girls how to play volleyball!

On Sunday, April 20th we will celebrate the fruits of our labors with a special visit by Chibly Cardinal Langlois, Haiti’s first Cardinal, who will personally bless our clinic. We are very excited to become part of a community we have been serving for over 10 years.
